Capital Hair Loss & Head Spa
Capital Hair Loss and Head Spa offers the latest solutions in holistic and medical treatment options for treating hair loss, thinning, and scalp conditions. We are Ottawa's 1st Head Spa, a Japanese practice to not only treat specific scalp and hair issues but also to provide a space to relax and unwind.
We recognize the importance of bringing together Eastern medicine and Western science to provide total wellness. Many scalp issues are not topical, they are caused by internal health issues. This is why we also work closely with doctors, naturopaths, dermatologists, hairstylists and many other professionals to ensure our clients receive the best care inside and out.
We want you to know that Capital Hair Loss and Head Spa provides a service to everyone, people of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities who may be experiencing all types of hair loss (alopecia) or specific scalp conditions. You deserve the best care, experience and professionalism.

Meet Carmen Elias
Our Founder Carmen has a passion for trichology and has shared her passion since her arrival at Caralyn’s Hair and Wig Design in 2015. Beginning her career as an esthetician in the early 2000’s; client satisfaction, discretion and care have always been at the forefront of Carmen’s work. This also meant she was no stranger to problem solving, skin conditions and vulnerablility. After working with Caralyn, a founding member of Capilia Group, one of Canada’s leading scalp health collectives, Carmen knew she wanted to absorb as much knowledge as possible to provide the best treatments and care for those suffering from hair loss and scalp diseases.
In 2019 Carmen began her course with the International Association of Trichologists (IAT), a non-profit corporation, developed by the University of Southern California, with the goal of promoting the research, study and practice of the treatment and care of the human hair and scalp disorders. Carmen realized it was her goal to provide the best and most up to date treatments, products and services to her clients and to spread her knowledge to those who may need it.
